What you can count on
- Written for families: the parent or guardian signs for students under 18, adult students sign for themselves
- Package rules in one place: prepayment, expiry, late cancellations, make-ups and three refund options to choose from
- Academic honesty clause: you teach and check work, you do not write the essay or take the quiz
- Online addendum covers lost time from dropped connections, recording consent and online safety
- Monthly progress report with a completed example, plus a session log that feeds it
- Invoice shows sessions used and remaining, so package balances never turn into an argument
- Word files to edit, PDF versions to print; signature blocks never split across pages

Before you buy
Who signs the tutoring agreement for a child?
A parent or legal guardian signs as the client for any student under 18. There is an optional line for the student to confirm they have read the session rules. Adult students tick a box and sign for themselves.
Does it cover online tutoring?
Yes. The Online Tutoring Addendum sets the platform, the technology the student needs, what happens when the connection drops on either side, whether sessions are recorded, and online safety rules for students under 18. It attaches to the main agreement.
Is this legal advice, and will it work in my state?
No, it is a plain-English template, not legal or tax advice. It is written to be state-neutral and does not cite any law. Rules on refunds, recording, working with minors and business licensing vary by state, so have a local attorney review the agreement before you rely on it.
Can I change the cancellation policy or package terms?
Yes. Notice periods, package validity, make-up windows, rates and refund options are yellow placeholders or tick boxes. The Start Here guide suggests a range for each and shows where each one appears, so the agreement, policies and price sheet stay consistent.
Can I edit them in Google Docs or Pages?
Yes. Upload a .docx to Google Drive and choose Open with Google Docs, or open it in Apple Pages. The files use only standard tables, text tick boxes and highlighting, no macros. A PDF of every document is included for printing or e-signing.
How do I get the files?
Instantly after payment: a download page opens and the link is also emailed to you. Lost it? Email us and we resend it.
What if it is not what I need?
Email us within 14 days and we refund you. No forms, no questions.
